Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse - PRN

About the Role

The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides direct patient care during cardiovascular procedures, utilizing critical thinking, clinical expertise, and critical care skills to assess patients' hemodynamic, neurologic, and respiratory responses. The nurse administers conscious sedation, monitors patient safety, educates patients and families on post-procedure care, and advocates for patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Promote patient and family-centered care within a healing environment.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural, and spiritual factors.
• Participate in quality, safety, and regulatory activities and professional development.

Requirements

• Prior critical care, emergency department, or cardiac cath experience required.
• At least 2 years of bedside nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license; ADN, BSN, or MSN accepted.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and safety focus.
