Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technology Student - Main Cardiac Cath Lab - PRN - Days

Responsibilities

• Aids the credentialed technologist in performing radiographs and other studies.
• Greet patients and guests appropriately, adhering to hospital and department policies.
• Identify and verify patient information, including date of birth and consent forms.
• Transport patients between exam rooms and tables.
• Position patients on examination tables.
• Assist with moving x-ray equipment as needed.
• Track completed exams in the Radiology Information Computer System.
• Ensure work areas are neat, clean, and well-stocked.
• Protect patient, guest, and employee safety.
• Document times and note additional comments.
• Answer phones and direct calls.
• Schedule exams and alert supervisors when necessary.
• Use centralized transport programs for patient transport.
• Access patient records as necessary for the business of medical imaging.
• Conduct retrospective reviews for educational, research, or regulatory purposes.
• Respond to calls from patients, other departments, physicians, or offices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and isolation/sterile techniques.
• Computer skills, including word processing and data input.
• Enrolled in an approved imaging program or valid Ohio license.
• CPR certification.
