Cath Lab Tech PRN Days

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper shielding is utilized for both patient and staff safety during procedures requiring radiation exposure.
• Maintain competence in the use of all equipment and supplies relevant to the Cath Lab.
• Work within a sterile environment.
• Respond to calls within a 30-minute response time.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of work experience, with previous Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Must possess a degree from an accredited school of Radiology or Cardiovascular Technology.
• Hold a valid license as a Radiologic Technologist and Technician, ARRT or CVT, and Texas State TMB - Registered Technologist.
• Pass BLS and ACLS certifications within 3 and 6 months respectively.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of hemodynamics and strong working knowledge of vascular anatomy.
