About the Role
- We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic cardiac care team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures while ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and effective collaboration with physicians and clinical staff.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care for cardiac patients
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations
- Administer medications and IV conscious sedation under physician direction
- Scrub and assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic procedures
- Accurately document nursing care in MediTech and Camtronics systems
- Record, monitor, and interpret hemodynamic measurements and valve areas
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification required (or completion within 6 months of hire)
- Minimum of 1 year Critical Care RN experience (ICU or ER)
- Prior Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
Primary Skills
- Cardiac Catheterization Lab nursing
- Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Conscious sedation administration
- Emergency response and critical care nursing
- Clinical documentation and EMR proficiency
Secondary Skills (Good To Have)
- Peripheral angiography assistance
- Familiarity with MediTech and Camtronics systems
