Description

Aid the interventional cardiologist by scrubbing into procedures to function as a sterile scrub assistant and operate the x-ray equipment. Learn to scrub, circulate, and monitor both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. A 30-minute call response time is required.

Position Purpose

The Interventional Radiographer performs angiographic procedures, including invasive vascular treatments and examinations, ensuring optimal image quality. Duties include entering on-line charges in the RIS, participating in on-call coverage, and following radiation safety guidelines.

What You Will Do

  • Perform a variety of interventional procedures and non-clinical tasks to achieve optimal image quality.
  • Enter charges in the RIS system and ensure accuracy.
  • Participate in on-call coverage as needed.
  • Fulfill radiation safety protocols as outlined in the MCHS Radiation Safety Policy Manual.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate from a Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Registered as a Radiographer by the ARRT and hold a valid Ohio Radiological License.
  • Possess 2 years of work experience in diagnostic radiography, with angiography, cardiac catheterization, or surgery experience preferred.
  • Maintain current CPR certification.
