Cardiac Cath Lab - Clinical Nurse

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a cardiac catheterization lab, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures. Responsible for patient assessment, education, and ensuring safety before, during, and after procedures. Collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
• Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and document individualized care plans, communicating effectively across care teams.
• Perform physical, emotional, and psychosocial assessments, considering patient preferences and cultural needs.
• Assist physicians during procedures, providing pharmacologic and hemodynamic support.
• Conduct post-procedure assessments, stabilization, and patient transfer as needed.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
• Preferably with Cardiac, Emergency Department, or ICU experience.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• No experience required, but less than 2 years of experience is advantageous.
