Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Cardiac Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center (Gadsden, AL), a member of Prime Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
• Messes the communication needs of the patient and family
• Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens and Vital Signs
• Read and monitor EKGs

Qualifications

• Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current IV certification within 30 days and maintain current ACLS (AHA) certification within 60 days and maintain current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) training within six (6) months of hire
• One year experience in an applicable setting
