Compensation And Benefits

• 1099: $15,697.65 per week +$50,000 annual stipend +$35,000 annual subspecialty stipend
• 39 weeks of service
• Commencement Bonus: $25K in year one and an annual Retention Bonus starting in year two

Schedule Options

• General Call Taking – 48 calls per year. Average 1 per week in-house with a CRNA. Post-call day off.
• Non-call-taking full-time position available: M-F

Practice Environment

Approximately 60% cardiac, with the remaining case mix consisting of diverse general anesthesiology cases.

Cardiac Practice Includes:

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Valve Repair & Replacement
• Structural Heart Procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman)
• Endovascular Procedures
• EVAR (Endovascular Aneurysm Repair)
• Peripheral Vascular Interventions
• Other complex cardiovascular procedures

General Practice Includes: In addition to cardiac anesthesia, physicians will provide anesthesia for a variety of general surgical specialties, allowing for well-rounded and diverse clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for both cardiac and general surgical procedures.
• Utilize perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) during cardiac cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, cardiologists, CRNAs, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Deliver high-quality patient care in a busy tertiary care environment.
• Document anesthesia care in accordance with Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and Somnia standards.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Eligible for Tennessee Medical Licensure
• DEA Registration
• BLS and ACLS Certification
• TEE Certification Required
• Demonstrated experience providing anesthesia for open-heart and structural heart procedures
• Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship preferred but not required
• No visa sponsorship available
