Cardiac Anesthesiologist

About the role

The successful candidate will join CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center – Bergan Mercy, a 391-bed Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center. They will practice within a collaborative care team of 23 anesthesiologists and 27 CRNAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthetic care for a full spectrum of adult cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG and valve surgeries, structural heart interventions, complex aortic surgery, and patients supported by a robust ECMO program.
• Perform and interpret intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
• Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Supervise and mentor CRNAs, anesthesiology residents, and medical students in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Requirements

• Fellowship-trained in Cardiac Anesthesiology.
• Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Advanced Perioperative TEE certification (or eligible).
• Eligible for medical licensure in Nebraska.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Nebraska.
