Cardiac Anesthesiologist
Position Highlights & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive cardiac anesthesia services for a wide range of cardiac and thoracic procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and other complex cardiac interventions.
Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) as part of intraoperative management.
Deliver anesthesia care for both cardiac and non-cardiac surgical cases as needed.
Supervise and collaborate with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAs) to ensure safe, high-quality anesthesia care.
Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and clinical communication.
Contribute to departmental initiatives focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical innovation.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Active Georgia medical license (or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure)
- Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in general anesthesia (newer physicians with relevant training are encouraged to apply)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary cardiovascular care team
