Cardiac Anesthesiologist
About the Role
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a BC or BE Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas. Advanced TEE certification is required.
- Practice cardiac and general anesthesiology, including neuro, OB, thoracic, and regional anesthesia (no pediatric cases).
- Join a large established team of anesthesiologists, residents, cardiac anesthesiology fellows, and CRNAs in a mixed anesthesia care team/solo staffing model.
- Work schedule is Monday-Friday with weekend and evening call rotated equally.
- Average 1 cardiac call per week (home call).
- Cardiac cases include Heart Transplantation, LVAD, ECMO, TAVR, Mitraclip, CABG (including OPCAB), and valves.
- Additional earnings opportunities available for working after hours and weekends.
- Occasional cardiac anesthesia coverage provided at our affiliated hospital, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Waco, located 30 minutes away.
About the Facility
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple is a 636-bed acute care Level I trauma center and academic site for Baylor College of Medicine-Temple. The Temple campus is the primary teaching site for Baylor College of Medicine-Temple medical students and is consistently ranked as one of the top major teaching hospitals in the United States.

Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine.
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board.
- Board certified or board eligible in specialty, with active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists.
