About the Role
The Card & Game Director is a seasonal, on-site role based at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, FL. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all card and tabletop game activities, events, and tournaments for members and their guests. The director develops seasonal programming, creates engaging game schedules, and ensures that facilities, equipment, and materials are well-maintained and properly set up.
Day-to-day tasks include supervising game rooms, coordinating staff and volunteers, managing budgets and inventory, and providing a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels. The role also involves collaborating with other club departments to support social events, promoting participation through member communications, and gathering feedback to continuously improve the card and game offerings.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee all card and tabletop game activities, events, and tournaments.
- Develop seasonal programming and create engaging game schedules.

Qualifications
- Skills in Game Design and Level Design to create engaging, well-structured card and game experiences.
- Skills in Game Development and familiarity with modern gaming platforms to implement new game formats.
- Strong Project Management skills to plan, execute, and evaluate card and game programming and events.
- Experience leading recreational or gaming programs in a club, resort, or hospitality setting is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to engage members of diverse ages and backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and multiple events simultaneously.
- Ability to work on-site, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by member programming.
