Car Washer - Automotive Detailer - Roanoke Airport

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Full-Time Automotive Detailer to join our team at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (5202 Aviation Drive, Roanoke, VA 24012). This position leads our commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, ensuring the health and safety of everyone by upholding the highest cleanliness standards in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, safety, and readiness, including:
  • Checking fuel level and warning lights
  • Inspecting windshields for damage
  • Factory resetting/restoring vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
  • Checking for customer items and placing valuables in Lost & Found
  • Verifying registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
  • Checking fluid levels and adding as needed
  • Inspecting tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
  • Inspecting vehicle exterior for damage
  • Fueling and staging vehicles
  • Reporting any safety concerns, warning lights, or damage
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers as needed, including transporting them to and from branches
• Maintain overall site appearance, including:
  • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and bathrooms
  • Vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and performing other miscellaneous cleaning tasks
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver's license with:
  • No more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
  • No more than 8 total points on driving record
  • No drug or alcohol-related violations (e.g., DUI, DWI) in the past 3 years
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
• Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience

Pay

$17 per hour based on a 40-hour workweek.

• Thursday: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Friday: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
