General Summary

The Manager in Training's primary responsibility is to participate in training experiences, learn new skills, and to demonstrate increasing proficiency and expertise with managerial responsibilities. The management trainee program will prepare the trainee for decisions s/he will be making, and the actions s/he will be taking in the areas of people management, operations management, and resolution of customer complaints when s/he assumes the role of store manager.

Duties

  • Aid the Manager in all aspects of daily shift management.
  • Assist with training new employees.
  • Support in managing customer complaints and issues.
  • Participate in planning and executing promotional events.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.

Key Results

  • Increasing customer satisfaction:
    • Measures: Increasing the speed of vehicles through the wash (speed), Decreasing the number of errors made while cleaning the vehicle (quality and safety), Increasing the positive feelings of the customer for the entire experience (friendliness).
  • Increasing bottom line revenue:
    • Measures: Increasing the extra-service sales (dollar per car), Maintaining labor percentages within acceptable ranges (human resource management), Maintain budgeted operational costs (optimization).
  • Developing Skills:
    • Measures: Obtaining full utilization of production procedures (100%), Increasing the number of tasks performed per person (cross-training), Decreasing problems with equipment and chemicals (shutdowns).

Qualifications

  • Must have your own reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Weekend reliability – one weekend day required.

Benefits

  • Additional weekly bonus on cars washed and monthly passes sold.

  • Annual salary range: $48,000 to $51,000, including wages and performance-based bonus.

  • $48,000 to $51,000 annually
