Car Wash Shift Leader - Weekend Availability Required

About the Role

As a Shift Leader at EDGE Express Car Wash, you will support the team when managers are not present, assist with opening and closing procedures, guide team members through daily tasks, and maintain high standards for customer service and efficiency. This position offers opportunities to develop supervisory skills and grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact when managers are off‑site, keeping the team focused and operations running smoothly.
• Open and close the location following established procedures.
• Keep the wash line moving efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Support sales by demonstrating proper membership‑pitch techniques.
• Train new team members on basic operations.
• Handle minor customer‑service issues and escalate when needed.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
• Lead setup and shutdown tasks to prepare the site for business or secure it after hours.
• Greet customers warmly and identify membership opportunities during busy periods.
• Direct traffic on the wash line and assist where needed.
• Help team members follow proper procedures and uphold quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Reliability – consistent on‑time attendance.
• At least 6 months experience in customer service or retail.
• Basic leadership experience (e.g., school, sports, or other activities).
• Willingness to learn opening and closing procedures.
• Some weekend availability (busiest times).
• Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a background check.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather, stand for long periods, jog/run to assist customers, and lift, push, or pull 40 lb or more.

Pay Details

• SouthEast Pay Bands:
  • $15.00 – $16.50/hr – some previous leadership experience; prior sales experience or EDGE‑ucator certification for promotion.
  • $16.50 – $18.00/hr – 1 + year sales experience, leading teams of 5 +; ability to assist with car flow and upsell memberships.
  • $18.00 – $20.00/hr – leads teams of 8 + for 6 + months, 2 + years sales experience, mastery of all site roles.

Schedule

• Full‑time or part‑time positions.
• Working days: Monday – Sunday (full‑time must work some weekends).
• Shifts vary between 7:30 AM – 9:00 PM.

Physical Demands

• Work outdoors in summer heat and winter cold.
• Standing for long periods; no chairs on the lot.
• Jogging/running to assist customers quickly.
• Lifting, pushing, or pulling 40 lb or more.
