Car Wash Operations Manager in Training

About the role

The Manager in Training's primary responsibility is to participate in training experiences, learn new skills, and demonstrate increasing proficiency and expertise with managerial responsibilities. The management trainee program prepares the trainee for decisions and actions in people management, operations management, and resolution of customer complaints when assuming the role of store manager. The MIT assists the Manager in all aspects of daily shift management.

Responsibilities

• Increasing customer satisfaction
  • Increasing the speed of vehicles through the wash (speed)
  • Decreasing the number of errors made while cleaning the vehicle (quality and safety)
  • Increasing the positive feelings of the customer for the entire experience (friendliness)
• Increasing bottom line revenue
  • Increasing extra‑service sales (dollar per car)
  • Maintaining labor percentages within acceptable ranges (human resource management)
  • Maintaining budgeted operational costs (optimization)
• Developing skills
  • Obtaining full utilization of production procedures (100%)
  • Increasing the number of tasks performed per person (cross‑training)
  • Decreasing problems with equipment and chemicals (shutdowns)

Requirements

• Reliable transportation

• Weekend reliability – one weekend day required
