Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on Holiday-owned car washes and related equipment of all makes and models.
- Analyze electronic and mechanical problems and complete repairs as required.
- Communicate with customers and explain technical issues to non-technical people.
- Maintain company assets, including service vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Regular contact with supervisor, car wash category manager, and store personnel.
- Work independently within a team environment; self-starter required.
- Carry a pager and be available for emergencies on a regular basis.
- Work hours will vary based on seasonal requirements; evenings and weekend work may be required.
- Complete company forms and reports accurately, including logs of daily work and store visits.
- May be dispatched or routed via car wash dispatcher, Work Oasis, or the help desk; communicate with stores, supervisors, help desk personnel, and outside vendors as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Technical school education preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical equipment; excellent mechanical background required.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
- Demonstrated knowledge of equipment maintenance and OSHA regulations.
- Good mechanical abilities and understanding of mechanical systems.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical issues using a Volt/Ohm meter.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Clean driving record.
- 2-4 years of maintenance experience, with equipment maintenance preferred.
- Ability to interface between equipment and computer programs.
