About the Role
We are searching for a CAR-T Cell Therapy Experience Lead to support the Midwest portion of the United States, covering North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois.
At Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, we are raising the bar on customer experience in the pharmaceutical industry. The CTEL team supports activated treatment centers and treatment center coordinators who care for cancer patients. The CAR-T Cell Therapy Experience Lead is a member of this account management team, serving as the primary field-based point of contact for a portfolio of certified CARVYKTI® Treatment Centers. In this role, you will work closely with treatment center stakeholders to improve operational efficiencies, maximize patient access to CARVYKTI, and facilitate successful product utilization by advising on order management, operations, and logistics. You will also drive growth through promotional messaging and coordination of site capacity expansion activities.
About the CTEL Team
For certified treatment centers, the CTEL is the single point of contact for all operational aspects of their CARVYKTI® program. CTELs help advance treatment center coordinator success by triaging day-to-day logistics, resolving issues, advising on operational effectiveness, and providing operational education. The team collaborates closely with a matrix of internal partners, including sales, order specialists, medical, field reimbursement, supply chain, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a lateral leader for operational account management, addressing site-specific issues and pursuing improvement opportunities for CARVYKTI® order management and logistics, including site expansion (e.g., satellite apheresis).
- Drive CARVYKTI growth by conveying clinical efficacy, safety information, and commercial operations messages.
- Act as the subject matter expert for CAR-T operations and logistics, providing counsel on CARVYKTI technology utilization and process optimization.
- Align cross-functional partners through regular participation in matrix calls with internal and alliance stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for patients and customers. Partners include demand-generating teams, institutional business partners, field reimbursement colleagues, and clinical nurse educators.
- Facilitate education engagements to improve CAR-T operations, logistics, and CARVYKTI® order management systems, including providing content on manufacturing and value information.
- Proactively advise treatment facilities on opportunities to improve utilization and efficiency of CARVYKTI® therapy through onsite observations and data analysis.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of work experience in the healthcare industry is required.
- An advanced degree is preferred.
Qualifications
Preferred experience in at least one of the following areas (a mix of experiences across several domains is preferred):
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in Field Sales or Sales Leadership.
- Field-based Large Account Management (e.g., KAM/KAS).
- Program administration in Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, CAR-T, Infusion Site, or Cell & Gene Therapy Treatment Center/Site of Care Certification and Activation.
- RN license or Advanced Practice degree (Nurse Practitioner, PA, PharmD, MSN).
- Cell Therapy Manufacturer experience (CTEL or other commensurate role).

- Excellent case management skills; proactive and takes ownership to see customer inquiries through to resolution.
- Ability to dynamically adjust priorities due to changing circumstances.
- Agile learner comfortable operating in complex environments and shielding customers from that complexity.
Schedule
- This position covers the Midwest area with up to 50% domestic travel, depending on candidate location (approximately half of that time may involve overnights).
- Candidate should live within 1.5 hours of a major metro airport within the stated geography.
Pay
- The anticipated base pay range for this position is $130,000 - $224,250.
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus under the Company’s applicable plan, awarded at the Company’s discretion based on individual and corporate performance.
