Responsibilities

• Rail car repair
• Brake testing
• General repair
• Maintenance of rail cars

Requirements

• French and English written and spoken skills
• Experience in 4-position welding using SMAW and FCAW
• Knowledge of rail cars and aptitude for industrial mechanics
• Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and in a noisy and dusty environment
• Good physical condition due to demanding outdoor work
• Class 3 driver's license with a good sense of direction
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Manual dexterity, resourcefulness, and the ability to take initiative
• Good judgment and stress management skills
• Dedication to safety and professional conduct

Pay

The salary range for this position is between $26.66 and $40.41 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The schedule is normally fixed, with a standard workweek of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
