About the role
Maintain a continuous flow of clean kiln cars to the Setting Machine.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Transfer Car to properly move kiln cars between tracks.
- Remove any damaged kiln car parts and replace with new parts.
- Remove any debris from the kiln car.
- Inspect cars to determine if repairs are necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work area.
- Assist in the Making and Packaging Departments as necessary.
- Participate in department housekeeping and meet standards.
- Work as a team player and help co-workers or on other jobs as needed.
Requirements
- Must work safely at all times and avoid working on moving kiln cars.
- Hardhat, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes required.
- Ability and willingness to help throughout the plant where needed.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 85 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to twist, stoop, and bend regularly.
- Must be able to work overhead regularly.
Schedule
6am–6pm, 3/4 schedule (2-2-3), must work every other weekend.
