About the role

The Car Cleaner Supervisor ensures that our team delivers services exceeding our customer/client's expectations. This position is responsible for responding quickly to customers' requests and providing caring interactions with all guests at their assigned locations. The Car Cleaner Supervisor works closely with fellow team members, the Operations Manager, the Assistant General Manager, and the General Manager to ensure that quality and safety standards are always met and adhere to state and local laws. This is an outdoor combination role, where you may be at our Quick Turn Around (QTA) location cleaning rental vehicles or at our off-site outside facility cleaning rental vehicles.

A sign-on bonus of $250 is offered to anyone hired for this position. It will be paid out after you have worked 4 full pay periods. To be eligible, you must still be employed by Republic Parking and be in good standing with the company. The payout is based on various factors including but not limited to individual performance and job attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, sanitize, and prepare vehicle interior per client standard operating procedures.
  • Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle exterior per client standard operating procedures.
  • Check vehicle exterior, windshield, and windows for damage; report damage per standard operating procedures.
  • Check tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; convey reportable findings per standard operating procedures.
  • Check for customer items and place any found items in lost and found.
  • Verify registration is in the vehicle, current, and matches the vehicle license plate.
  • Check fluid levels and report any low levels/vehicle service lights to fleet maintenance.
  • Inspect the vehicle for any safety concerns; report any warning lights and/or safety concerns per standard operating procedures.
  • Quality inspects/audits the cleanliness of the VSA’s production and signs off on the final inspection on the quality assurance hang tag.
  • Ensure staffing levels are adequate to meet the target vehicle movements per hour.
  • Prioritize needs of the preferred and ready lines for the current shift, while also preparing for the next shift.
  • Be proactive, working three hours in advance of upcoming ABG (automobile business group) movements to ensure smooth operations and optimal efficiency for VSA’s goal.
  • Ensure quality control hang tag is signed off on and visible for the public/final inspection.
  • Move the vehicle out of the processing area as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Escalate any equipment or supply concerns to VSA Lead to mitigate operational impacts.
  • Wear proper personal protection equipment (PPE) and ensure cleaning, detailing, washing, and sanitization supplies are available.
  • Organize, clean, and maintain car seat inventory.
  • Record any workplace incidents with management/claims reporting portals.
  • Ensure all staff are in approved company uniform.
  • Ensure that the vehicle keys are visible in predesignated areas.
  • Sign in/out credentials daily, and ensure all staff return their badges.
  • Manage staff break periods on shift.
  • Ensure all staff comply with all mandatory corporate or site-specific training.
  • Coordinate with the QTA and off-site teams to manage ABG vehicle demands.
  • May transport staff/rental vehicles to and from other rental car facilities.
  • Provide training, coaching, and accountability to VSAs as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate via radio, e-mail, and any applicable operations applications used between Republic and Avis Budget Group.
  • Help maintain the overall site appearance, including general cleaning of the interiors and exteriors of work areas, break areas, and office spaces.
  • Maintain proper uniform attire and cleanliness.
  • Assist customers when needed.
  • Additional responsibilities may change with or without notice.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts.
  • Non-slip-resistant shoes must be provided by the employee and approved by management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Excel.
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience.
  • Team Leader skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be energetic and able to walk at a fast-paced and stand for 8 hours a day.
  • Experience driving a manual transmission is a plus.
  • Must tolerate harsh weather conditions: excessive heat, cold, and inclement weather.

$22.00 / hour
