Capstone Visiting Professor
About the role
The role involves implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system and profession. The clinical instructor assumes responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments, plans clinical experiences, provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students, evaluates and provides documented feedback to students, and keeps course coordinators informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
Responsibilities
- Teach and evaluate nursing students in a capstone final clinical course
- Supervise and evaluate nursing students delivering nursing care to individuals or groups
- Evaluate and provide feedback on student performance based on course objectives
- Remediate students as needed
- Keep course coordinators informed of student and agency issues
- Report to the dean or assistant dean as directed
Requirements
- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
- An unencumbered professional nursing license
- At least two years professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at certain clinical partner sites

Pay
The expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate’s education and experience. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law.
