Capital Projects Engineer

About the role

The Board of Public Utilities invites qualified individuals to apply for this position. The Board has ONE opening for a Capital Projects Engineer 1 OR depending on experience, a candidate may be hired into the position for a Capital Projects Engineer 2.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plans and specifications
• Coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met
• Perform inspections and quality control checks on construction projects
• Prepare reports and documentation related to capital projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in capital projects engineering
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Experience with project management software
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software

Pay

Capital Projects Engineer 1: $6,308 to $9,600 per month; DOE if eligible for Capital Projects Engineer 2: $7,073 to $10,765 per month
