Responsibilities

  • Coordinates project design, cost estimates, schedule, and interface with clients on capital projects.
  • Manages capital project implementation, including oversight of selected vendors.
  • Determines specific customer and stakeholder requirements and manages communication across organizational and functional boundaries to ensure clarity on scope and deliverables.
  • Contributes to a high-performance culture by recognizing and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Ensures all assigned capital projects comply with budgetary, regulatory, department, safety, and company standards.
  • Supports and assists the Lead Project Manager on capital projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering preferred).
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in conceptual development, project management, planning, and scheduling on capital projects, including experience in the Biotech or related industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with regulatory requirements, engineering principles, and construction techniques.
  • Demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at various levels with customers, vendors, equipment suppliers, and operations staff.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations is desired.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven success working well in a team environment with flexibility to react to changing business needs.
  • Demonstrates core BMS behaviors, especially Accountability and Urgency.

Pay

Starting compensation range for this full-time role in Devens, MA, US: $110,300 - $133,663. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate considers required skills, job location, work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

    • Paid Time Off for Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico, and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays.
    • Additional time off based on eligibility may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs, and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

All global full- and part-time employees actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible for the Global Shutdown.

Schedule

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This role may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at the assigned facility, as onsite presence is considered essential for collaboration, innovation, productivity, and culture. The ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients, or business partners and attend meetings as directed is an essential job function.
