We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated real estate Financial Analyst to join our team and report to HHH’s Director of Finance at our corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, TX supporting projects across the HHH portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Complete transaction diligence and support negotiations with brokers, lenders, and various partners.
  • Create and manage dynamic pro forma models for various projects including acquisitions, divestitures, and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on financings and development projects and provide analytical support.
  • Analyze the financial performance and value of potential acquisitions, developments, dispositions, and current properties and assist with investment and strategic planning recommendations.
  • Prepare investment-grade analysis and presentations for review by board and capital committee that clearly and concisely illustrate financial underwriting, market data, and strategic business plans.
  • Analyze potential deals with a focus on net present value analysis and internal rate of return, review and comment on income statements and balance sheets, as well as lease terms and conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on real estate, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field. Graduate degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as a financial analyst required in commercial real estate capital markets, development, investments, or asset management.
  • Proven experience completing transaction diligence from inception to execution.
  • Proven experience underwriting multiple property types.
  • Expert-level Excel modeling skills, including creation and ongoing management of dynamic development pro formas, scenario analysis, and concise data visualization.
  • Demonstrated understanding of real estate investment metrics, partnership structures, development budgets, and financing process.
  • Investment grade written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing board and committee-level PowerPoint decks and memorandums.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with exceptional organizational skills and a strong proficiency with managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
  • Inquisitive and intellectually curious with the ability to exercise sound judgement when making decisions.
  • Good problem solving/creative thinking skills, pro-active, and resourceful with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Must have expert knowledge of Microsoft Office software products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Argus.
  • Curiosity about artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, with a strong desire to continuously learn and apply new tools to work more efficiently.
