This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our New York City office.

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a demonstrated interest in finance. The ideal candidate will bring prior exposure to investment banking, debt/equity capital markets, syndicate, sales & trading, or reinsurance through a full-time role or internship, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior team members in financial transaction execution, and ongoing client deliverables
  • Build, maintain, and audit Excel models and databases to support decision-making and risk/return analysis
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on companies, portfolios, and/or transactions (e.g., benchmarking, market research, trends, market conditions…)
  • Prepare clear, well-organized presentation materials, reports, and memoranda for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in the preparation of pitch books, client proposals, and transaction marketing materials
  • Analyze market data, pricing, and transaction structures across relevant asset classes and sectors
  • Coordinate data collection and information requests with internal teams and external counterparties
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of all work products, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Help manage project timelines, deliverable tracking, and documentation to keep workstreams on schedule
  • Contribute to ad hoc analyses and special projects as business needs evolve

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, a related quantitative discipline or equivalent years of industry experience
  • Proven work experience (full-time or internship) in at least one of the following areas:
    • Investment Banking
    • Debt/Equity Capital Markets
    • Syndicate
    • Sales & Trading
    • Reinsurance

Skills

Analytical & Quantitative Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort working with large and complex data sets

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., financial modeling, pivot tables, lookups, basic macros a plus)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint; ability to build clear, concise presentations
  • Familiarity with financial databases and market data tools is a plus (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P Capital IQ)

Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Pay

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $100,000 - $115,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
