Capital Investments Strategic Advisor

Seattle Office of Housing · Seattle, WA · 1 mo ago
$51.88–$77.82/hrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes Position Description paragraph. Could be "About the role". Then Responsibilities (list). Then Qualifications (list). Then Benefits (list). Then Pay (maybe a paragraph). Then Schedule (maybe a paragraph). Also maybe "Additional Information" includes FLSA, classification, etc. But we should only include sections with real specific content. Avoid boilerplate like EEO etc. Remove duplicated lines, navigation, legal, EEO, scam warning, application instructions. Also remove "Please note: This job ad is not designed to cover..." etc. Also remove "Hiring Timeline", "Accommodations", "Background Check", "Application Process", "Who May Apply". Also remove "Additional Information" maybe keep some specifics like FLSA-exempt, classification, pay rate, working schedule, benefits. But we need to follow rules: include a section only when posting has real specific content for it. So we can have sections: About the role (from Position Description). Responsibilities (list). Qualifications (list). Benefits (list). Pay (specific numbers). Schedule (specific hybrid schedule). Possibly also "Additional Information" could be merged into Pay or Schedule? But we can keep as separate if needed. However we should avoid thin sections. Let's decide: About the role (paragraph). Responsibilities (ul). Qualifications (ul). Benefits (ul). Pay (p). Schedule (p). That seems fine. We must not repeat job title as heading. So no heading for "Capital Investments Strategic Advisor". Use

for section headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We have Qualifications; we could also have Skills but we can combine into Qualifications. Use only those headings that have content. We need to preserve ALL substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include all responsibilities listed, all qualifications, benefits details, pay rate, schedule. Let's extract responsibilities: From "Job Responsibilities" bullet list (separated by periods? Actually each sentence ends with period). Let's list: - Providing analysis and strategic guidance to support Capital Investments investment planning, including market conditions, development trends, funding demand, and emerging financing challenges. - Analyzing the affordable housing development pipeline to identify trends, funding needs, project readiness, emerging risks, and issues requiring leadership attention or coordinated action. - Supporting strategic planning for competitive funding processes through analysis of funding demand, available resources, portfolio needs, leveraging opportunities, and lessons from prior funding rounds. - Leading special initiatives and providing strategic support on complex financial and development issues requiring senior-level analysis, coordination, or problem-solving. - Identifying and leading improvements to funding policies, underwriting practices, workflows, tools, and other Capital Investments business processes. - Providing senior technical expertise to Capital Investments staff on complex affordable housing financing and development issues. - Coordinating strategic and cross-functional initiatives with other OH teams, City departments, public funders, and external partners where alignment is needed to advance Capital Investments priorities or address systemic project delivery challenges. Also there is "The Top 3 Priorities Of This Work Are Investment Planning, Pipeline Analysis, and Forecasting: ..." This seems like additional detail but could be considered part of responsibilities. It includes: - Developing and maintaining a forward-looking view of the affordable housing pipeline, anticipated funding needs, available resources, and market conditions. - Conduct financial and investment forecasting to identify potential funding gaps, risks, and opportunities and support leadership planning and decision-making. - Improving Capital Investments Programs and Operations: Leading priority improvements to CIT policies, processes, tools, and practices to improve consistency, efficiency, equity, and project delivery. - Advancing Complex and Emerging Priorities: Taking ownership of high-priority initiatives and complex issues that require cross-team coordination, financial expertise, strategic analysis, and problem-solving. We should include these as responsibilities as well. They are substantive. So combine all. Qualifications: Paragraph: "You will be most successful if you have demonstrated experience in affordable housing finance involving public and private sources, community redevelopment, real estate finance, or other related areas. A commitment to listening, creating space for diverse perspectives, and the pursuit of affordable housing for all must be at the center of your professional practice. The ability to communicate at all levels tactfully and effectively will also contribute to your success." Then "Specifically, you’ll be prepared to take on this role with a combination of the following:" then list: - Experience In Affordable housing finance and real estate development, including public and private financing sources and complex financing structures. - Leading complex initiatives, improving programs and processes, and coordinating across teams and organizations. - Knowledge Of And Skills In Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex development and programmatic issues and develop strategic recommendations. - Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to racial and social equity in affordable housing investment We need to format as list items. Benefits: "The City of Seattle offers a comprehensive benefits package including vacation, holiday, and sick leave as well as medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance for employees and their dependents. More information about employee benefits is available on the City's website at: https://www.seattle.gov/human-resources/benefits. Please select an option under the “Most Employee Benefits” heading." We should keep the description and link? The instruction: preserve ALL substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we should keep the sentence about benefits and the link. However we should remove application instructions etc. The link is part of benefits info, so keep. Pay: "Pay Rate: The full salary range for this salaried position is $51.88 - $77.82 per hour. Following a pay equity and budget analysis, the identified salary range for this role is $68.00 - $70.34/hour ($114,984.00 - $146,869.92 annually, based on 2088 hours per year)." We should keep both ranges? The posting includes both full salary range and identified salary range. Both are substantive. Keep both. Schedule: "Working Schedule: This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Employees of the Office of Housing are expected to be in-office 3 days per week. Individual schedules will be based on agreement between the employee and their supervisor." Also maybe "Hiring Timeline" etc removed. Additional Information: includes FLSA-exempt, classification, non-represented. Could be considered substantive but maybe we can incorporate into a section like "Additional Information". However we need to avoid thin sections. Could we add a section "Additional Information" with those details? It's not one of the prescribed headings but we could use "Additional Information" as a heading? The rules only list specific headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. It says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings, but says "use

for section headings (e.g. ...)". Likely they expect only those headings. So we should not create extra headings like Additional Information. We could fold that info into Pay or Schedule or maybe into About the role? But better to incorporate into a paragraph under Pay or maybe under a generic

without heading? The instruction: Output ONLY the HTML fragment — no /, no markdown code fences. It didn't say we cannot have untitled paragraphs. So we can include a

for the FLSA etc without a heading. That's acceptable. Thus final HTML:
