About the role

The Capital Equipment Specialist is responsible for selling, planning, organizing, and implementing all account management activities related to the sale and distribution of Solta Medical's capital equipment in a given territory. The role requires achieving sales quota results, performing territory penetration, providing customer training, supporting regional training workshops, and maintaining up-to-date account files.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales quota results in the assigned territory.
  • Perform effective territory penetration coverage and account identification to drive sales and increase the customer base for Solta devices.
  • Provide training presentations and demonstrations to customers on application and use of the company’s products using effective communication and sales techniques.
  • Educate customers regarding the indications, contraindications, and safety of Solta products and how they fulfill the needs of the customer.
  • Support and help facilitate the execution of regional training workshops and tradeshows within the territory and area.
  • Pre-plan sales calls and maintain efficient time management skills to ensure maximum customer contact and highest level of customer service.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date account files.
  • Prepare sales contracts, quotes, price, and terms per company guidelines.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities including quarterly business plans, weekly expense reports, up-to-date account profiles, and Solta’s computer customer database.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of the industry and competitive products.
  • Develop and maintain supportive, productive, and effective relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable quality and regulatory guidelines as an integral part of business operations.
  • Maintain consistent communication with Director of Sales and Sales Consultant(s) on all matters related to the territory and area including accurate forecasting.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and represent Solta with high integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred along with experience selling capital equipment in the Aesthetics or Dermatology space.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive communications and technical presentations to physicians, management, and/or large groups.
  • Thorough understanding and communication of the attributes and qualities of Solta products using professional selling and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in word processing and database applications, as well as various software programs such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of FDA GMPs.
  • Understanding of clinical surgical techniques and procedures and medical terminology.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Skill in managing time effectively.
  • Flexibility in changing daily workload priorities as directed.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time and cover territory appropriately, including overnight stays, attend tradeshows, and corporate and training meetings.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and workload planning skills.
  • Ability to maintain suitable work station (including inventory) remotely.
  • Ability to transport up to 60 pounds of equipment within territory and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pay

The range of starting base pay for this role is $80,000 - $100,000. Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education, and location.

Schedule

This position is eligible for participation in either (i) our annual bonus program or (ii) a sales incentive plan.
