About the role
Are you ready to make a significant impact in freight transportation? As our Capacity Manager, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating and managing relationships within our carrier network. Your expertise will help us build a reliable carrier base, ensure compliance with industry standards, and deliver exceptional service that drives our success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute carrier sales strategies to consistently exceed 10 loads per business day, driving revenue growth.
- Negotiate competitive rates and contracts with carriers and logistics providers to manage transportation costs effectively.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), load boards, and relevant software to optimize carrier selection and booking.
- Monitor carrier performance and enforce service level agreements while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Address and resolve carrier-related issues including delays, damaged goods, and pricing disputes promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance logistics operations, uncover cost-saving opportunities, and improve efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with carriers to support mutual success and high service standards.
- Adept at adapting to evolving business needs by taking on additional duties as necessary.
- Prioritize tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and targets.
- Maintain a proactive, results-oriented mindset focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in managing changing priorities and challenges.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Proactive problem solver with a mindset to identify and implement improvements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, collaborate, and maintain transparency.
- Results-driven with the ability to set and achieve ambitious goals.

- Versatile and willing to take on additional responsibilities aligned with business needs.
- Target-oriented: expected to meet or exceed a booking target of 100 loads per month within the first 90 days.
