CAPAA - (Acting/Drama) Theater Instructor (P/T)

Responsibilities

• Embrace and promote the CAPAA vision, mission, educational approach, goals, and core values
• Support students during studio time, daily lessons, classroom setup, and the like.
• Structure lessons that encourage and foster skill development, critical thinking, applications, and ethics.
• Instruct courses serving students with various learning styles, abilities and needs.
• Employ classroom management skills and implement the school code of conduct.
• Affiliate with faculty and department heads to ensure student's overall success at CAPAA.
• Attend department and faculty meetings, parent conferences and open houses; regular communication with parents and administrators; and occasional supervisory duties.

Requirements

• Must enjoy working with teenagers.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated professional specialization in Drama/Acting.
• Prior Experience Teaching High School Students is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
• Excellent curriculum development skills.
• Excellent classroom management ability.
