Responsibilities
- Utilize a canine animal in the performance of duties to provide a secure environment for patient care functions.
- Patrol buildings, property, and grounds to protect patients, visitors, and staff.
- Respond to and assist with mitigating security-related issues.
Requirements
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of experience in law enforcement or public contract security, or 1 year of healthcare security experience.
- Licenses & Certifications: Special Police Commission through the City of Baltimore Police Department, IAHSS Healthcare Security Officer certification, valid Maryland Driver's License.
- Other: Computer proficiency, ability to communicate effectively, interpersonal skills, knowledge of safety and security duties, typing speed of #20 words per minute, knowledge of legal requirements, ability to work various schedules including weekends and holidays, ability to remain at Mercy for extended periods, ability to provide a suitable residential environment for a canine dog.
Salary Information
Min USD $21.15/Hr. Max USD $34.90/Hr.
