Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Plan and lead weekly Campus Worship for undergraduate and graduate students.
- This includes but is not limited to: administrative tasks such as reservations, sound request, creating worship slides, printing bulletins, etc.
- Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and work with the student/intern Campus Worship Planning Team to promote, plan, and lead Campus Worship weekly.
- Create and sustain relationships with undergraduate students, campus partners, and key academic departments to help build and contribute to the pipeline from undergraduate worship leaders to Divinity School students in the worship and music concentration.
- Participate in key events such as Admissions days, New Student Orientation, Tartan, and/or initiatives supported by Student Life and Christian Mission.
Education/Experience
- Completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Master of Divinity or equivalent degree from an accredited seminary or university.
- At least 3 years of experience in worship leading and planning.
- Experience working with a team or group to plan worship encouraged.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Comprehensive skills in the use of Canva.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and standard methods of digital communication, including web/text/chat platforms.
- Proficiency in utilizing social media platforms for the purposes of ministry.
- Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with trustees, faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials and the public.
- Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.
- Manage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet set deadlines.
- Be adaptable, flexible and a have a willingness to work in a changing environment.
- Work occasional evening and weekend hours based on the rhythm of the academic year.
- Travel with students and/or staff including overnight stays when needed.
