CAMPUS TRANSPORTATION DRIVER

Summary

Responsible for operating a shuttle bus and/or passenger coach-type vehicle. Reports to the Supervisor of Transportation (or to a designated individual in the Supervisor's absence).

Essential Functions

• Provide safe, courteous, and professional service to passengers while en route to/from destinations.
• Follow established routes and departure times. Communicates with dispatch for guidance on any detours/delays.
• Operates vehicles in accordance with Mass General Brigham Fleet Safety Program Policies and Procedures, as well as in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Ensures adherence to passenger limits for both seated and standing passengers.
• Assists passengers with disabilities and others needing assistance in boarding and disembarking from the vehicle via the wheelchair lift.
• Reports any emergencies/concerns with the vehicle and/or passengers immediately to the Supervisor and/or Dispatcher.
• Safely transports passengers to various destinations while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Adheres to assignments in accordance with scheduled shuttle routes prepared by the Manager, Supervisor, and/or Dispatcher.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred (experience accepted in lieu of degree)
• Licenses and Credentials: MGH Security RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal required
• Experience: Proven experience as a shuttle bus driver, 1-2 years required
