Campus Security Swing Shift Full Time

Responsibilities

• May be asked to work overtime.
• Report alarms in accordance with client requirements, and monitor cameras.
• Greet vendors, residents, client employees, client, and aid as needed.
• Conduct internal patrol and/or external mobile patrol when needed to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear.
• Maintain an atmosphere where all residents, client employees, site visitors, client, and management know their needs are being met.
• Present a good image to client, public, and management.
• Operate in a calm manner and direct persons who cause disruption to leave property.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; set up barriers and signage, and provide direction or information to others.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to client, company management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.
• Absorb and adhere to 15-minute and lunch breaks.
• Work in a team environment to ensure site/organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Remain organized and professional.
• Provide high-quality customer service in-person, via radio, and over the telephone.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• Willingness to travel 25-30 miles to and from work.
• Understands the nature of customer service and interactions with the public.
• Intermediate computer/technology skills needed to ensure completion of daily activity reports, and logs via handheld devices, and ability to report alarms via telephone.
• Must have Swing or Grave shift availability.
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
• Must be able to interact with and greet site visitors, residents, client employees, or client in a positive manner, while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Must be open to communication and feedback from client, Site Supervisor and Office Management.
• Must be able to adhere to 15 minute, and lunch breaks.
• Must be able to work in a team environment to ensure site/organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Must be able to remain organized and professional.
• Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations.
• Must provide high quality customer service in-person, via radio, and over the telephone.
• Must have a personal vehicle, Colorado Driver’s License and clean driving record due to required mobile patrol and commute.
• Must be able to obtain Colorado Springs Guard Card license and maintain it every year.
• Must be able to attend in-person interview, and in-person orientation in Colorado Springs if hired.

Qualifications

• Security, military, or law enforcement experience a plus!

$17.17/HR Swing Shift: Fri - Tues: 3PM - 11PM
