About the role
This role provides visible campus supervision, supports student behavioral expectations, responds to safety concerns, and helps maintain a secure and welcoming school environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students before, during, and after school.
- Maintain a consistent, visible presence in hallways, common areas, classrooms, entry and exit points, and school grounds.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and school partners.
- Help de-escalate emerging conflicts using district-approved procedures.
- Document discipline incidents and maintain security records, logs, and reports.
- Assist with investigations involving theft, property loss, assault, or other reported incidents.
- Cook up to department needs.
- Cover campus safety planning and restorative approaches to student behavior.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience working with adolescents or young adults in a structured setting.
- Oregon DPSST unarmed private security certification, or the ability to complete and maintain required certification; the district will coordinate required training if certification is not already held.
- Valid first aid/CPR certification.
- Experience with security operations and supervision.
- Ability to meet the position’s physical standards and communicate effectively with a diverse school community.
Qualifications
