Our Campus Safety Division partners with schools to provide a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for students, staff, and visitors. Position Overview Joffe Emergency Services is seeking a professional and dependable part-time Campus Safety Officer (CSO) to support a school campus in the Culver City area. This position follows a schedule of Monday: 2 PM–6 PM, Tuesday: 7 AM–6 PM, Wednesday: 2 PM–6 PM, Thursday: 2 PM–6 PM, and Friday: 2 PM–6 PM, with some weekends or longer shift days when the school has rentals or events. This role goes beyond traditional security — Campus Safety Officers are trusted members of the school community who help foster a safe, positive, and supportive campus environment. Ideal candidates are calm under pressure, approachable, observant, and comfortable working with students, staff, and families on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe and secure campus environment for students, staff, and visitorsServe as a visible and approachable presence throughout campusRespond to campus incidents, emergencies, and safety concernsMonitor student behavior and help enforce school policies and proceduresConduct routine patrols and safety inspections of campus grounds and facilitiesAssist with traffic flow, parking, and visitor accessWrite detailed incident reports and document security-related activitySupport school administration with safety and security needs as requestedAssist with campus investigations, including reviewing camera footage and gathering informationHelp ensure campus buildings and facilities are properly securedBuild positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and local law enforcement Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 6-months of security experience preferredMust have an active Guard CardMust have an active CPR certificateCustomer service experience requiredExperience working with children or students preferredStrong communication and problem-solving skillsComfortable working independently and in dynamic environmentsAbility to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situationsMust be able to read and write English fluently Physical & Work Environment Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of timeComfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to perform routine patrols across campus grounds Why Join Joffe?
