Campus Security Officer

Security Officers observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. This role helps maintain a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. Officers preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently, Security Officers provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site
• Provide for the security and safety of client property and personnel
• Actively monitor premises, including patrolling a variety of locations
• Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the area
• Provide customer service and information to client’s employees and customers

Requirements

• Must have open availability, including weekends
• Clean driving record required
• Must be able to pass drug screen and background check
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day and navigate stairs as required
• May involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills required
• Prior security experience preferred
• No experience necessary — retail, food service, or hospitality background is a great fit; training provided
