: Campus Security Officer

The Auburn School District is seeking a Campus Safety Officer.

About the role

This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the school district's facilities and personnel. The officer will patrol campus areas, respond to emergencies, and maintain a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas of the school district to ensure safety and security.
• Respond to emergencies and provide immediate assistance as needed.
• Maintain a secure perimeter around school buildings and grounds.
• Document incidents and report findings to appropriate authorities.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Interact with students, staff, and community members in a professional manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
• Current Washington State Firearm Permit.
• At least one year of experience in law enforcement, security, or related field.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Physical fitness to perform the duties of the position.

Skills

• First aid and CPR certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic computer skills.

Pay

The starting pay for this position is $37.05 per hour.

Schedule

The Campus Safety Officer works 8 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
