Campus Security Officer (34-020)

Alamogordo Public Schools is seeking a Campus Security Officer to promote proper and safe demeanor, provide security, and protect all students, staff, and property belonging to the district.

Responsibilities

• Promote proper and safe demeanor among students, staff, and visitors
• Provide security and protection for district property
• Interpret and disseminate information regarding student and district disciplinary policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information
• Establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with students, staff, administration, and the public
• Perform essential job functions and tasks as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a security-related occupation preferred
• Ability to work effectively as a team member
• Some computer literacy and operational skills
• Ability to comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986
• Upon offer of employment, complete an Employee's Statement of Health and submit to a functional capacity evaluation at the district's expense

Pay

Nine months (185 days) per contract year with placement on the District Security Officer Salary Schedule. The work calendar is subject to change based on Board-approved revisions.

Schedule

Position available starting August 31, 2026. Open until filled; will not close before August 22, 2026.
