Campus Security Guard

About the role

GardaWorld is the largest privately owned security services company in the world, providing professional training programs and diverse work assignments with flexible schedules. As a Campus Security Officer, you will protect people and assets while delivering excellent customer service at a client site in Pottstown, PA (approximately 45–60 minutes from Philadelphia).

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service as top priority
• Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols around the property
• Deter vagrants from the property
• Supervise and manage employees at the assigned job site
• Maintain a healthy, professional relationship with the client at the assigned site
• Exercise independent judgment and sound decision‑making in performing all duties
• Observe, survey the area, and provide reporting on activity at the assigned location
• Stand and walk for long periods of time
• Operate access control systems
• Regulate traffic and enforce traffic laws on the property
• De‑escalate verbal altercations
• Provide rapid response in critical situations
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Ability to pass an extensive screening process
• Minimum 1 year of security, military, or law enforcement experience
• Active state security license (where required)
• Active driver’s license
• CPR certification
• Ability to read and write detailed reports
• Ability to enforce client procedures, regulations, and standards

Pay

$17.50 per hour

Schedule

Two part‑time schedules available (24 hours per week each):

• Schedule 2 – Mornings: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Schedule 3 – Overnight: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
