Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of School Operations, assists in monitoring and patrolling of campus perimeter and monitoring student and adult activity during school hours or as needed. Works alongside other supervision team members to implement and evaluate security measures for the school campus.
What You Will Do
- Campus Safety & Security Patrol and monitor campus perimeter, lunch areas, hallways, walkways, classrooms, restrooms, and parking lots.
- Maintain order and security of the campus; escort students to the office for disciplinary action as needed; report unusual activities or unauthorized persons; orient and direct campus visitors.
- Maintain security of school buildings, grounds, and facilities.
- Monitor and operate security systems such as surveillance cameras, alarms, and communication devices.
- Operate walkie-talkie and other security equipment as assigned.
- Campus Monitoring & Incident Reporting
- Monitor and report maintenance issues, graffiti, vandalism, and safety hazards; photograph graffiti and vandalism as required.
- Maintain records, reports, and files related to security activities and incidents as required.
- Community & Customer Service
- Maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, visitors, and the community.
- Provide assistance and direction to campus visitors while promoting a safe and welcoming school environment.
- Operational Support
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
- A valid BSIS Guard Card
- A SB1626 Campus/School Certificate
- Bilingual Spanish language fluency is desirable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Patience, tact, and good judgment
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
Compensation And Benefits
Placement on the HO6 Salary Schedule: $70,304 - $73,000
- Medical, Dental, Life, and Vision Coverage
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
- 12-Month work calendar | 229 Work Days
