Campus Security Assistant - on call/as needed

About the role

This part-time non-benefitted temporary position performs policing, safety, and security tasks relative to students, student activities, and buildings, reporting anything unusual or amiss to decision makers.

Schedule

The typical schedule is Saturday – Tuesday evenings during the school year, and the ability to cover other evenings as needed to accommodate vacations.

Responsibilities

• Patrols and observes campus grounds daily and during events and activities to identify potential problematic areas and/or situations and to enforce Campus policies
• Communicates dangerous and/or unusual situations to appropriate personnel
• Secures campus properties and buildings, which includes locking buildings and doors at appropriate times
• Represents the College with students, visitors, and/or other applicable parties who are on campus
• Provides general assistance to individuals as needed
• Assists residential personnel in enforcing policies
• Provides escorts to students, faculty, and staff
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
