About the role
Barton Community College is seeking applications for the replacement position of Campus Safety Officer.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the security of all buildings and property of the College
- Patrolling resident halls
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Good physical condition
- Ability to use independent judgment
- Ability to work shift work, including nights and weekends
- Valid Kansas driver's license
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to fill out and complete investigative reports/daily logs
- Legally able to carry a firearm (armed position)
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a psychological evaluation
Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Knowledge of state and federal statutes
- Knowledge of criminal justice procedures and policies
