About the role

As a Campus Retail Associate, you will provide superior customer service and support store leaders in all facets of retail operations to ensure the store operates at optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
  • Greet customers and focus on their positive experience throughout their visit.
  • Support store operations including operating equipment and cash registers while ensuring speed of service and accurate transactions.
  • Shelve, arrange, clean, and organize products or store space to maintain a fresh appearance.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold food and drinks following prescribed recipes and techniques.
  • Set up or restock displays, wrap, label, date, and rotate food items for sale.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following cleaning, sanitation, and operational standards (food handling or safety certification may be required in some locations).
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks such as dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.
  • Part-time positions require availability to work on a weekly basis year-round, with schedules that may be set or vary to meet store needs.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and/or products.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting.
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Previous food handling experience preferred.
  • Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
  • Outstanding attitude with a willingness to learn and excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
  • Flexible availability throughout the academic year, including peak periods.
