Requirements
- High school diploma and certification by the Law Enforcement Training Council in accordance with §23-23-40 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Satisfactory credit report
- Valid SC driver's license
- Pass an extensive background investigation which includes a social media review
- Required to participate and successfully complete the SC Criminal Justice Academy training if not currently a Class 1 police officer
