About the role

The Campus Life Connection Team is a full-time position requiring spiritual and organizational leadership skills, the ability to work with and through others, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities

• Share the Gospel with teenagers at any time and lead them to Christ.
• Provide quality services to VUSD students affected by Foster System, Homelessness, and Adverse Childhood Trauma.
• Meet and greet students daily at the front gate and at the start/end of each day.
• Identify classrooms needing extra support and encourage involvement in classroom management.
• Network with school social workers and psychologists.
• Document and provide home visits as needed.
• Engage students in lunchtime activities and organize Campus Life Activity Days.
• Work with the team leader to document all mentoring activities and interventions.
• Communicate regularly with the team leader regarding needs, results, and personal needs.
• Develop community relationships and promote Campus Life.
• Help recruit, develop, and maintain Campus Life Mentor Teams.

Qualifications

• Good rapport with the community at large.
• Agree with the vision of Campus Life.
• Fulfill educational requirements as set by Campus Life, USA.
• Proficient with computers and iPads, and use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Google Docs, and email.
• Able to complete the screening and selection process of Campus Life.
• Able to actively involve in a local church fellowship.
• Complete curriculum training as directed.

Expectations

• Attend all staff meetings.
• Hand in receipts for reimbursement.
• Complete Impact Reports to online by the end of each quarter.
• Submit newsletter updates to E.D. as requested.
• Be visible with proper uniform and identification.
• Assist school staff, administration, and law enforcement resource officers.
• Be consistent for students and, if necessary, families as a role model.
• Be understanding of confidentiality limits, borders, and reporting processes.
• Provide regular mentoring through Character Counts and program activities.
• Regularly log and report data for tracking purposes.
• Maintain an excellent reputation in the community.
• Understand that you are a mandated reporter and communicate all reportable issues to the Team leader and the Executive Director, and then make reports to CPS or police department.

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
