Major Duties and Program Management
- Serve as the campus liaison to the Department of Assessment and Compliance (for state assessment programs and local assessment activities), Section 504, the Department of Special Education, Student Intervention Services (Response to Intervention), and provide support for Credit by Exam activities.
- Utilize data to identify, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of a variety of intervention models and materials to meet identified student needs (specifically special programs, Bil/ESL, Special Ed, PEIMS data).
- Monitor data accuracy for students served by special programs including Bil/ESL, Special Education, Section 504, etc.
- Collaborate with the Director of Interventions on a regular basis to receive training and implement best practice to ensure student progress.
- Develop and implement the requirements of district's Response to Intervention (RtI) program that reflect the specific academic intervention needs for each individual student identified for Tier 2 or Tier 3 support as assigned.
- Work cooperatively with the campus leadership, developing plans and logistics for all aspects of campus assessment programs.
- Oversee the secure administration of assessments (paper and online) and respond promptly to needs and issues if/when they arise.
- Compile, maintain, and file complete and accurate records as required by each assessment program.
- Facilitate the Response to Intervention (RtI) and Section 504 processes with the principal, support staff, parents, and instructional staff.
- Oversee Section 504 procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, codes, and regulations related to Section 504 and related disabilities.
- Coordinate analysis of assessment data for a detailed profile of academic/instruction strengths and weaknesses.
- Assist campus leadership in disaggregating, analyzing, and disseminating assessment data to inform instructional decision-making.
- Compile, maintain, and file documentation and reports as required by federal, state, district, and campus regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Staff Support
- Serve as a resource to campus staff regarding assessment-related questions and concerns.
- Collaborate with the principal and grade levels / campus departments to design and deliver campus interventions.
- Train campus staff to appropriately administer the instruments used in state, local, and Credit by Exam assessment programs.
- Serve as a resource to parents and students regarding assessment programs and instructional implications.
- Assist in the design and logistics of remediation programs.
- Communicate with support staff and instructional staff in regards to students receiving Section 504 services or services provided through the RtI process (including instructional/assessment accommodations and clarification of student-specific needs).
- Work with teachers, administrators, and other campus staff to coordinate a range of assessment programs.
- Attend regularly scheduled district meetings for purposes of training and professional development in all areas of responsibility.
Communication
- Communicate effectively and regularly with a variety of teams at the campus and district level.
- Disseminate information and stay abreast of changes in the various assessment programs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and students concerning assessments, remediation, and student-specific needs.
