Position Purpose This is the perfect position for someone looking for summer work. We hire candidates 16+ yrs old. A Seasonal Camp Ground Associate is to serve as the liaison between park users and park staff. May assist in campground public relations, activities and special events/activities. Will be responsible for performing light maintenance work and campground clean up. This is a part-time seasonal position from April 15th through October 5th (park is open May1-October 1). We are hiring approximately 5 people for the season. Campground Associate Compensation Base Pay of $16 per hourPart-Time 20-25 hours per weekCompany Perks ProgramFlexible schedule (must be available on Weekends)Opportunities for returning work in future seasons Campground Associate Job Responsibilities Provide excellent customer serviceComply with campground policies and proceduresDeliver firewood & iceGeneral grounds keeping & keep restrooms cleanGeneral campground security and oversightMow/trim grassLandscaping as needed (water plants, etc)Minor maintenance workAnswering phones and taking reservationsProcessing online reservationsChecking and answering the Resort email and voicemailChecking in guests upon arrival and checking out guestsHelping stock the campground store and process store transactionsProviding local information and campground area informationCleaning all bathhousesCleaning up garbage and debris around the propertyMust be available on nights and weekends Other duties as assigned Campground Associate Qualifications Willingness to work respectfully with people of diverse backgroundsAbility to work outside for long periods, use landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, weed whips etc and make rounds through the camping areaAbility to adapt to changing work conditionsMust posses basic carpentry and maintenance skillsBasic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word & ExcelA good knowledge of the park and surrounding areaFlexible and rotating schedule to include most weekends and summer holidaysRequires visual acuity and ability to hear to clearly communicate with managers, coworkers, guests and vendorsMust be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of timeMust be able to reach with arms and handsMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Must have finger to hand dexterity to be able to grip, grasp items or equipmentMust be at least 16 years of age.
