Camp Director (CJS) - Summer 2026

About the role

The Camp Director (CJS) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a summer camp program, including planning activities, managing staff, and ensuring the safety and well-being of campers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive summer camp programs that align with the organization’s mission and values.
• Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of campers at all times.
• Collaborate with staff to plan and execute engaging and educational activities.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and feedback sessions.
• Conduct periodic evaluations of camp activities and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as education, psychology, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in camp administration or a similar role.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• Knowledge of child development and safety protocols.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Passion for outdoor activities and adventure.
