Camp Counselor (Weekends)

About the role

We are currently looking for someone to work weekends at Camp Bow Wow, a Premier Dog Day and Overnight Camp. Candidate can work the morning or evening shift only, or both shifts on the weekends (we have split shifts on weekends). You will also have the option of working during the week, as well.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Canine Campers in a Camp environment
• Interact with small and large Canine Campers
• Pass a Behavioral Evaluation for participation in Camp
• Offer verbal and physical praise to Canine Campers
• Love on Canine Campers
• Clean up messes (including cleaning vomit and diarrhea)
• Prep meals for the Canine Campers
• Provide clean, fresh water
• Administer medications and food additions
• Stick to a rigorous cleaning schedule
• Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment during heavy volume times

Requirements

Candidate must have excellent attendance and work ethic. Candidates with poor work attendance need not apply. Ideal candidates must have a true love for dogs. We are caring for live animals. We are a clean, safe environment for healthy, social dogs to interact and socialize. If you are accustomed to missing work, please do not apply. We have a strict attendance policy and do not tolerate people missing work due to unexcused absences. We are very flexible when scheduling, so requesting time off in advance is very simple.

Qualifications

Technologically proficient, but willing to be trained if necessary. Must assist checking Campers in and out of Camp.

Skills

Technological proficiency, ability to communicate effectively with dogs, attention to detail, and the ability to follow a rigorous cleaning schedule.

Pay

$10.00 - $13.00 per hour
